cesar chavez. we have reports of flooding in the right lane. seeing yellow on our sensors so traffic is slow through that area.northbound 280 at serramonte, injury accident slowing you down around there. checking your drive time through the peninsula, again northbound 10192 to the 80 split looking good so far. 280 not showing any delays. that can change though because that accident serramonte in daly city and 92 not too bad, san mateo bridge also checking in problem-free. 880 southbound side headlights going towards hayward. we are seeing extra volume. northbound a couple of accidents, one at 7th, one at broadway. looks like they are wrapping up but slow towards the maze there. and southbound 101 golden gate bridge, through marin, looks like traffic moving okay. but slick surfaces a little busy into san francisco. and so far so good in the south bay. outside of some slight delays northbound 101 through san jose, we are not seeing really any trouble spots through san jose also 280 looking good. that's a look at traffic. back to you guys. >> thank you. >>> a fatal shark attack claimed

schools. we have earmarked a couple schools under that funding, which is thurgood marshal, cesar chavez and downtown high school. between the money we do have from the hetch hetchy and money available from transbay funding we can do more schools. >> in terms of allocations, this is a partnership, we have efficiency or renewal projects with city facilities as well. how do you sort of all -- allocate that scarce money to get us to be less reliable on energy. >> you mean allocated between schools and other city departments? is that the question? >> right. >> that is a matter of prioritizing projects. so on the renewable side we have potential portfolio projects we are looking at on city properties and the schools. we go through a process there where we look at roofs of buildings of a structurally sound electrical system in the building. support the system and so forth. we come up with a list of buildings. then within that framework, then depending on project and depending on funding we select the project to fund. >> is it tied into what people pay i want the system? the school pays for en

and i am proud that the president went yesterday to california to dedicate the cesar chavez national monument. many of us worked in colleagues in the congress to support the foundation that built the monument but he by executive order declared it a national monument and i am glad that check alieo and his son and some members of the community were there. such a big turnout they had to turn people away and such a great source of pride. aren't we proud of that? [applause] and aren't we proud of our president. some of these things -- the passage of the dream act, support for the monument for series series and so many things mentioned by the great mayor were only possible of the leadership in our congress of the hispanic caucus. and i am pleased to say in this election year we have the opportunity and i think we will send ten more members to congress to be part of the congress and that's an increase of about 50% of the caucus and four of them will be from california, so we're very, very proud that california leads the way. as the mayor talked about the contribution it's easy to unders

was growing up, when i was growing up, my heroes were martin luther king and cesar chavez but i didn't see any community activists, civil rights activists, that looked like me, that looked like many of us. and then in the newspapers i saw two asians and they were speaking always passionately about asian american civil rights. well, they were professor ling chee wang and henry durham. and when i was actually quite despairing, i was quite despairing, it was coming down it a crucial vote in 2007 and then 2008 for the college board to support this campus, they came to the fore, they organized the community, the community rose up probably one of the first few times in the history of the chinese community in san francisco, they rose up from the ground and they said, we want this campus, we're fighting for this campus and you better vote for this campus, and guess what, we passed it and we got the campus. so this campus has been built and raised and all of us community activists, ling chee wang, all you old-timers, we built it for current generations and generations as yell yet unborn. our forefather
